hese new amplifiers employ our exclusive VOX Valve Reactor circuitry in their power amp stages. Its patented design was originally developed for the award winning Valvetronix Modeling amplifiers, and has been further revised for use in these new amps. It uses an actual vacuum tube (12AX7) and virtual output transformer that behave the same way as a tube power amp that uses larger power tubes such as EL84s or EL34s. The benefits to you are the same sound and feel of a traditional tube amp with much lighter weight and lower cost. In their preamp stages, these new amps use discrete transistors for high quality sound generation and ICs for low noise, fast channel switching and other signal management functions. The resulting combination creates a hybrid amplifier capable of delivering superb tone-both vintage and modern-with the high harmonic content and compression found in original VOX AC30 and AC15 amplifiers.
