IMHO better name is "touch technique", I don't use neither Pull-offs nor Hammer-ons. I think that great freedom in improvisation is to control harmony and melody lines together (only IMHO). ДаунЪ - There is some cool players (as I wrote D. Maloletov, and others), but they are not as great as J. Coltrane, M. Davis or even Pat Martino was.... ДаунЪ, maybe You know cool tappers? Which musicians (at all) are realy great in Your opinion??
